EMDR · Serving all of Utah
EMDR therapy in Utah.
Awake, structured trauma therapy that helps the nervous system finish processing memories that got stuck. Delivered by a dual board-certified PMHNP-BC and FNP-C. Telehealth statewide; in-person in Spanish Fork.
Available to residents across Utah
What EMDR is
EMDR uses bilateral stimulation — eye movements, tapping, or tones — while you briefly hold a difficult memory in mind. The brain does the reprocessing work; the therapist keeps the pace safe and structured. You stay awake, in control, and don’t have to talk through every detail of what happened.
What EMDR helps with
- Single-incident trauma (accidents, assault, medical events)
- Complex trauma and childhood adverse experiences (CPTSD)
- Combat and first-responder PTSD
- Performance anxiety, phobias, and stuck fear responses
- Grief and loss that won't move
EMDR over telehealth
EMDR works well over secure video for most people — especially helpful for Utahns in rural counties or busy families who can’t drive to a specialist. We use guided visual and audio bilateral stimulation, and the pacing is the same as in-person.
